Spring 2010 Beauty Trends
Spring 2010 goes crazy with the new ice cream shades. Check out the latest Beauty Trends for this season:
WATER COLOUR:
Strong pastels and bleached neon’s with no hard edges is the color palette for SS10. Ease your way into the colors of spring by adding a little shimmer to a turquoise blue eye shadow. Following on from last season, brows should be almost invisible. Keeping a soft look to the eyes as well with minimal mascara and eyeliner.

LILAC BLOSSOM:
Lips are going the same way as nails: purple, sky, blue, mustard, mint green. Purple mostly was shown in a perfectly wearable manner as a lilac-pink lip that is fresh and contemporary, and suits most complexions. Combine lips with softly shaded eyes for a full lilac look. Balance pockets of strange color in the inner eye socket and under the eye with lighter lilac pinks over the lid, finish with a purple mascara.
PINK LADY:
Keep the fresh spring look with bright pastel pink. Keep away from lip liners with soft edges. Apply primer underneath the lipstick to keep it in place. Balance this lip color with simple but defined eyes using non-clumpy thickening mascaras.
PEACHY KEEN:
The SS10 catwalks were awash with new neutrals: warm caramel, nudes, brick tones, and orangey browns. Resonant of the 90’s, these colors should be worn as they were worn then: matching lips and eyes. This season use soft peach and pastel coral tones. Avoid overload by blending eye shadow out towards the edge of the eyelid and stopping midway towards the brow. Apply a little lip balm under the lipstick to get velvety matte lips. Finish this look with luminous skin and soft brown mascara.
YELLOW FEVER:
Yellow is spring’s light and matte answer to summer’s gold, this unconventional color should be worn in an unconventional way. Keep it fun and modern by applying above the eyelid and not on it. This pretty girl look goes well with cool shades of yellow and mismatch it with softly stained rose pink lips.
